TSU(HOUSTON)–The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) is now offering Bachelor’s degree programs in Civil, Electrical and Computer Engineering at Texas Southern University.

The new additions to the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) program will take effect in 2015. These are strong efforts to strengthen the future graduate leaders in the industry.

“This is a major addition to COSTs STEM degree programs and a great step forward in the advancement of education for minority students,” said Dr. Lei Yu, COST dean. “These programs will provide significantly to the workforce for civil, electrical and computer engineers.”

In field where these professions are in high demand, TSU solidifies their leadership as producers of the top graduates needed for this workforce.
