Question…If you’re a professional football player how do you not know that a ball has been deflated? Think about it, the average professional football player has probably played organized football since Pop Warner. A football is standard equipment as is a basketball for a basketball player and a soccer ball for a soccer player. So how can Tom Brady claim that he didn’t know the footballs used by the Patriots in last year’s AFC Championship game against the Baltimore Colts had been deflated? Sounds fishy to me as it did to the investigators for the NFL.

New England Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady will be suspended without pay for the first four games of the 2015 season for conduct detrimental to the integrity of the NFL, while the team has been hit with a one million dollar fine. The Patriots must also forfeit their first round draft pick for 2016 and 4th pick for 2017.

Official regulation NFL footballs are supposed to be inflated to 12.5-13.5 PSI (pounds per square inch). Two Patriots staff members, (James McNally and John Jastremski) are responsible for deflating the game balls by as much as two pounds in order to make the ball easier to grip in cold and wet weather. Click here to read their text message that imply their guilt. Makes you wonder how long this has actually been going on. Guess it’s not a crime until you get caught!
