Peace and greetings Houston.  The 36th Annual Pan-African Cultural Festival was at “Our Park” located at the corner of W. Alabama and Live Oak in the Historic 3rd Ward area of the city.  “Our Park” is right next door to the SHAPE Community Center, with the address of 3815 Live Oak, Houston, TX 77004.  There was plenty of fun activities plus arts and crafts to participate in, along with an array of local musical acts to enjoy.  Dr. Deloyd Parker was in attendance helping to emcee the evening of festivities.  He maintains a mission to heighten the awareness and increase the saturation of African-based ideas and ideologies that will help to propel our communities into a higher consciousness.  Please check out some moments from that day of fun, enlightenment, and entertainment!
