Her most recent position was with the Department of Defense Centers of Excellence for Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury specializing in PTSD. Dr. Darlene also consults for universities, Fortune 500 companies, community action agencies, hospitals, schools and child guidance clinics.

Her practice, Dr. Darlene (http://www.DrDarlene.net), is a wellness and psychological consulting firm for individuals and corporations. The practice provides work force strategies and team building skills that help organizations develop their employees’ health and wellness, with the belief that the implementation of psychological approaches, which focus on holistic health, leads to a more productive work force and accelerated performance. Her practice also offers very popular and well-respected workshops.

Dr. Darlene has endured difficult times in her private life, much like many of us, but was sorely tested when she went through a very traumatic – and very public – experience that threatened to destroy her family.

Although Dr. Darlene shares parts of this very personal story throughout her book, Blooming Again – Weathering Personal Storms and Growing Resilient Families to demonstrate how her family’s resiliency was tested and strengthened through this very challenging time, this book, and Dr. Darlene’s specialty, is really about building your resiliency to help carry you and your family through whatever crisis life brings to your doorstep.
