Motown Recording Artist KEM has partnered with The Salvation Army to assist those affected by the Flint Water Crisis. He will lend his voice in support of the non-profit’s text-to-give campaign that will help fund The Salvation Army of Genesee County’s assistance efforts.

KEM will be present at The Salvation Army Flint Beecher Corps Community Center on Tuesday, January 26 at 10:00am to announce the partnership and to help distribute bottled water as part of the weekly food distribution. He will also make a contribution to The Salvation Army.

“The water crisis in Flint has been so heavy on my heart,” said KEM. “Partnering with The Salvation Army and helping spread word about their text campaign is an effective way for me to lend support to their outreach efforts on a long-term basis.”

“The impact of KEM’s voice to the text-to-give campaign will help The Salvation Army of Genesee County assist families who are affected by the Flint water crisis,” said Captain Caleb Senn, The Salvation Army of Genesee County Coordinator. “Donations will be used to help purchase water and water filters, as well as provide additional assistance related to the water crisis as needed.”
