Wedding cakes are the centerpiece of any wedding reception. They’re a decoration and a dessert all in one, but they’re not the only way to get your sugar fix.

We know you probably agonized over what flavor your wedding cake should because you have a lot tastes to satisfy. It’s hard picking out a flavor everyone (or at least your wedding party) is going to love.

Take some of the pressure off of yourself by offering the folks at your wedding a few different options for dessert.

Cupcakes

Instead of trying to decide one flavor for one big cake, why not pick several flavors for tons of little cakes? This is kind of a happy medium. Cupcakes are a treat that lots of people enjoy, and it’s not that far off of the traditional wedding cake. And they’re super-portable should your guests want to bring a cupcake home! Put some pre-folded mini boxes near the cake table and watch your left overs walk out of the door with your happy guests.

Sundae Bar

Let your guest go nuts building their own sundaes. Pick out any number of different flavors for your friends and family to scoop up. Then, let them cap it off with whatever fixings their hearts desire with all of the toppings you set out for them. Don’t forget the whipped cream! This one might be a little tougher to pull off because you don’t want the ice cream to melt, but see what your caterer can do for you.

Candy Tables

Candy tables have been a huge hit at weddings for years. They’ve become such staples that it’s hard to call this a trend and that’s for a reason. It offers your friends something sugary to nibble on, and it’s a great favor! Set up some takeout boxes or bags and your guests can bring home a sweet reminder of your big day.

Doughnuts

No longer relegated to breakfast time and coffee hour, doughnuts are really coming into their own as a dessert. Ranging from light and fluffy to cakey textures, doughnuts come in a variety of flavors for people to gobble up. If you didn’t get enough doughnuts, no problem! Find your nearest Dunkin Donuts of Krispy Kreme to replenish your stock. And on that note, this might actually be one of the more cost-effective wedding desserts depending on how many guests you’re trying to feed.

Cookies

Sometimes all you need is a good cookie to cap off a great meal and an even better party. Stock up on the classics like chocolate chip, peanut butter and oatmeal raisin. If that’s a little too standard for you, you can always opt for more daring flavors like strawberry cheesecake or maple bacon.

Pie

Not everyone is into cake, but maybe your guests might enjoy some pie or cobbler. It’s a simple dessert for a simply delicious day.
