Beyoncé’s Lemonade keeps coming with high praise. The album has received the first five-star review for a solo black woman from Rolling Stone magazine and HBO has announced plans to submit the movie for Emmy consideration.
According to E! News,
Emmy voters will decide whether the visual album will nab a spot in the variety special category. Nominations will be announced on July 14th and the awards will be given out on September 18th in a ceremony hosted by Jimmy Kimmel. It is still being worked out whether “additional directors” Melina Matsoukas, Todd Tourso, Dikayl Rimmasch, Jonas Akerlund and Mark Romanek will be submitted as directors along with Beyoncé and Kahlil Joseph.
