According to ABC News,
Samsung announced over Labor Day weekend that it would both recall and stop sales of its Galaxy Note 7 smartphone because of potentially exploding batteries. The news comes after dozens of the devices were found to explode or catch fire, with Samsung tracing the issue back to the phone’s lithium battery. Although no injuries have been reported at last check, Galaxy Note 7 owners did take to social media with photos of their burned phones – — and the pics are pretty creepy.
I’m sure Apple would have immediately recalled it’s iPhone.
