When it comes to the comedy space, Kevin Hart is not only confident in his ability to make people laugh, but his overall business savvy that has made him the top comedian in the world right now. And rightfully so. The bite size funny man recently dethroned Seinfeld as the highest paid comic from June 2015 and June 2016, when he raked in $87.5 million–$30 million more than the iconic actor.

“It’s an amazing accomplishment, but it’s not something I think about too much,” Hart explained to HB on a conference call. “I’m blessed and fortunate to be in the situation I’m in. I don’t take time to focus on that moment because I’m busy thinking how to make that consistent. How do I surpass that? That’s where my mind instantly goes. How do make my 2017 and 2018 bigger than my 2016?”

With so many record-breaking feats under his belt, Hart’s success begs the question, “what now?” Hence, his appropriately titled stand-up (released today) ‘What Now,’ which he filmed in front of 53,000 fans in Philly at the Lincoln Financial Field.

While introducing the film at the packed NYC premiere, Hart revealed, “When it comes to stand-up comedy, I feel like I know what I’m talking about. People argued me down about putting a stand-up comedy concert out theatrically. I said ‘If you don’t want to do it, I’ll do it my damn self. I’ll fund it. I’ll do it God dammed self because no one believes in me more than I believe in myself.”

‘What Now’ follows in the footsteps of its stand-up predecessor Let Me Explain and follows it’s formula. Hart injects his personal life into every performance and begins each theatrical concert begins with a short film. Bigger than the last, What Now features a cameo by Halle Berry.

“Halle berry is a good friend of mine. It was always a dream to work with Halle Berry and do a movie with Halle Berry. I don’t think you can be a man and say that at one point and time you didn’t crush on Halle Berry,” he explained.

“For me, the James Bond theme I wanted to pull off, you need that woman who can be on your side that adds that crazy, sexy element to the James Bond theme. That woman was Halle Berry. It was asking if she would do it and telling her she would be protected because it’s funny, but also there’s a little action in it and it’s a good look.”

Hart also divulged his plans to release a film that spoofs the James Bond franchise.

“I wanted to give my fans at a wink of what’s to come. Me doing my version of doing my James Bond like film, is definitely something that is coming in the future and throwing that comedy spin to it.”

He added, “The reason I did this teaser was to show people here’s a little glimpse at what is coming soon.”

You can add that film along to his roster of notable upcoming releases. Hart is also working on a remake of Jumaji with The Rock and Ride Along 3.
