TBS announced on Monday that it’s picked up 10 episodes of a new comedy series starring Tracy Morgan and produced by Jordan Peele.

Morgan will play a character who has just been released from prison after serving 15 years, and returns to his freshly gentrified Brooklyn neighborhood surprised by all the change in the world.

His ex-girlfriend is now married to a successful white man, and the two of them are raising his twin sons that he did not know about. “Wanting nothing more than to connect with his kids, but having neither the money to support them nor himself, Tracy falls back on the skills he learned in prison to make ends meet while treading on unfamiliar territory,” says the logline. The series was initially being developed at FX, but the network passed on the project.

TBS says the show will comment on race relations, the Gen X/Millennial gap, and the American penal system.
