According to Time,

A new study giving contraceptive injections to men can effectively prevent pregnancy in their partners. Only, the shots won’t be available anytime soon as they need a bit more tweaking to reduce side effects. Never before has hormonal birth control been an option for men. Researchers found that the drug combination was nearly 96% effective at suppressing sperm counts. In comparison, condoms are 98% effective when used correctly. Co-author Mario Philip Reyes Festin, MD, said in a press release, “The study found it is possible to have a hormonal contraceptive for men that reduces the risk of unplanned pregnancies in the partners of men who use it. Our findings confirmed the efficacy of this contraceptive method previously seen in small studies.”

Wow, the advancement of technology.
