Janet Jackson and Wissam Al Mana, the billionaire she married in 2012, have separated. The split comes after the 50-year-old singer gave birth to the couple’s first child, a son named Eissa, in January. “She thought he had become too controlling during the pregnancy and she had already allowed him to dictate her appearance and even the way she performed at concerts,” a source who works closely with the couple told the New York Post about why they went their separate ways. The 41-year-old, Qatari businessman is Jackson’s third husband.
On another note, reports are circulating claiming that because Janet and Wissam signed a prenup, the singer/actress will be receiving a hefty payday when things are finalized. According to TMZ, prenups usually have five and 10 year marks, which means the longer you are married, the more money you will receive per the agreement. Janet announced that she was married in 2013, however, she had actually gotten married a year prior — which means she has hit the five year mark.
