Trey Songz’s Snapchat comments from December may be coming back to haunt him. According to TheShadeRoom,

Following Trey getting into an altercation in Detroit where he was later charged with one count of assaulting a police officer and one count of aggravated assault after he allegedly punched a cop, his Snapchat video of him saying “f**k the police” is being used against him in court.

In another clip — which was also obtained by the court, Trey says “f*** MGM,” which is the casino he was kicked out of for causing a scene. While in court the judge asked the prosecutor and Trey’s lawyer what “f**k the police” meant. The prosecutor said,

“Given the fact that the defendant is highly unsatisfied with police as shown from these videos ahead of time, saying all these vulgar comments about police, it is relevant to show that the defendant intended to do the crime that he is charged with.”

Trey’s attorney said that the phrase is merely a rap lyric.  His next court date is scheduled for September 12th.  Trey faces a one-year misdemeanor sentence and up to two years probation.
