Janet Jackson says that she “felt like a prisoner” while she was married to Wissam Al Mana. An insider told Us Weekly that

“Janet felt hidden from family and friends. Her life was sheltered.” The source also said, “Janet felt like a prisoner.” A second insider revealed that Al Mana came into Janet’s life at the right time, saying, “He swept in at just the right time. He bailed her out and whisked her away to the Middle East. Janet lived a very lavish life with him. His money could afford them a lot of privacy, which was what she craved.”

The insider went on to say,

“Janet was never very maternal before, but that changed with Wissam. He really wanted a baby and she was ready. She realized she found the right guy.”

Another source added,

“Janet felt like she couldn’t be herself anymore. Janet felt like her music was suffering and she resented Wissam. She couldn’t settle down and be what he wanted.”

Bossip.com has reported that Janet and her ex, Jermaine Dupri, might be rekindling their own flame.  Man, I hate that happened to Jan.
