Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton laughed at a female reporter during a press conference saying “it’s funny to hear a female” talk about routes.

UPDATE: Racist tweets were found from NFL reporter Jourdan Rodrigue.
The (since deleted) tweets read as follows:
“The earth moves at 450+ MPA that’s 10 times triller than NASCAR Dale Earnhart’s a b*tch n*gga,” tweeted Rodrique, according to screenshots from BSO.
Two other tweets read: “My dad is being super racist as we pass through Navajo land. He’s the best. Racist jokes the whole ride home.”
Rodrigue took to Twitter to apologize for the offensive tweets.

UPDATE: Cam Newton gets dropped as a spokesman for Dannon yogurt.
The reporter, Jourdan Rodrigue, who asked Newton the question said “This afternoon, I did my job as an NFL beat writer and asked Cam Newton a question about one of his receivers. I was dismayed by his response, which not only belittled me but countless other women before me and beside me who work in similar jobs.”
Rodrigue sought Newton out as he left the locker room and said he did not apologize for his comments.
The NFL statement says “the comments are just plain wrong and disrespectful to the exceptional female reporters and all journalists. They do not reflect the thinking of the league.”
