My Protein surveyed 1,350 U.S. adults ages 18 to 65 and found the average respondent is spending $155 per month on gym memberships, personal trainers, meal plans, supplements and workout gear. That totals about $112,000 per lifetime, which is more than the average cost of a public four-year college ($98,440.)
