Jill Scott and her estranged husband Mike Dobson are locked in a heated divorce battle. Now Dobson wants the “Golden” singer to cut out the antics on social media as she may have violated a court order.
According to a judge’s order, both parties cannot comment on the particulars of their divorce on social media but Dobson’s legal team sent a letter to the singer saying it was “inappropriate” that the Scott was using her son as a way of speaking out. Scott retorted by going on Instagram to remind her followers (and her ex-husband’s legal team) that not everything has to deal with their divorce.
“Ya’ll got to stop assuming EVERYTHING is about my divorce,” Scott wrote. “S**t’s dumb. I’ve NEVER fit in a box; not matter how big it is.”
Scott filed for divorce from Dobson last November citing irreconcilable differences. Dobson counter sued his ex-wife, alleging that she bullied him throughout their marriage and that he was coerced into signing a bad prenup.
