Donald Glover Recovering in Houston Hospital

HOUSTON — Donald Glover, also known as Childish Gambino, is recovering in a Houston hospital from an unknown health issue, according to a statement the entertainer’s X account.
The 41-year-old star went to Houston for surgery after experiencing health concerns after his show in New Orleans. He also announced he’d be canceling the rest of his North American tour, along with his UK and European tour dates to focus on his recovery.
After my show in New Orleans, I went to the hospital in Houston to make sure of an ailment that had become apparent. After being assesed, it became clear i would not perform that night, and after more tests, i could not perform the rest of the US tour in the time asked. As of now…

“After my show in New Orleans, I went to the hospital in Houston to make sure of an ailment that had become apparent,” Glover said in a statement. “After being [assessed], it became clear I would not perform that night, and after more tests, I could not perform the rest of the US tour in the time asked. As of now I have surgery scheduled and need time out to heal.”
Glover gave no further details as to what the state of his condition or his ailment is, and gave no insight as to when or if the tour’s canceled dates would be rescheduled.
Glover had previously canceled his Sept. 8 Houston show.
