Laurence Fishburne renews his deal with “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” for the 2010-11 season.
The actor joined the CBS series two seasons ago as the replacement for William Petersen’s character. Said pact, at the time, was valued as “one of the richer casting deals on TV.” No financial specifics however were given.
Aisha Tyler has landed a role in the CBS comedy pilot “Open Books”, about June Gage (Laura Benanti), a book editor at a boutique New York publishing house. She’ll play Lydia, June’s “best friend, libidinous, glamorous, waitress-actress.”
Scott Foley, Kevin Rahm and Patti LuPone also star in the Warner Bros. Television-based comedy, which James Burrows is directing from a script by Gail Lerner.
