At the “Just Wright” junket actress and MC Queen Latifah announced the new VH1 series “Single Ladies. Queen penned the scripted series that stars LisaRaye McCoy, Stacey Dash and Lauren London.
The series that is said to have a “Sexy in the City” vibe, revolves around the romantic relationships of three friends.
Dash’s character is a celebrity stylist who is experiencing autonomy for the first time McCoy plays a video vixen and London a semi-shy NBA wife.
“’Single Ladies’ will start as a 2 hour TV movie that will follow a weekly series based on the film,” says Queen.
The girls are set to begin shooting this week in Atlanta.
Official air date wasn’t announced at press time.
