Professor Klumps may be returning to the big screen for the third time. Eddie Murphy announces that he is developing the script for the third installment of “The Nutty Professor.”
“We kind of wrote something that might be kind of funny. If the studios want to do it, we’ll do it,” Murphy told Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson at the LA premiere of “Shrek Forever After” on Sunday. “If you don’t see it, the studio was like, ‘This isn’t funny.”
‘The Nutty Professor’ made $273 million worldwide in 1996, while ‘Nutty Professor II: The Klumps’ made $161 million back in 2000.
