A lengendary Houstonian known for co-founding Frenchy’s Fried Chicken restaurant has died.  Percy “Frenchy” Creuzot, Junior died yesterday.  A native of New Orleans, Creuzot and his wife, Sallie, opened Houston’s first Creole restaurant “Frenchy’s Po-Boy” back in 1969.

To compete with other restaurants in the area near University of Houston and Texas Southern University, Frenchy started making its famous seasoned fried chicken and won the stomachs of thousands.

He is survived by his wife, son, Percy the Third, daughter Angela and several Grandchildren..
