Tropical depression forms in Caribbean, could become Tropical Storm Alex

Gulf Coast residents and meteorologists alike will be keeping an eye on a tropical depression this weekend, which formed Friday afternoon off the coast of Honduras.
The National Hurricane Center said the depression, accompanied by heavy rains and gusty winds, will move slowly toward the west-northwest until it reaches the Yucatan Peninsula over the weekend. They advised all interests in the northwestern Caribbean Sea and Yucatan to monitor its progress.
