Frances Hooks, the civil rights leader and widow of Benjamin Hooks, died Thursday.

Barbara Dawson, 57 died early Monday morning after a limited stay at Liberty Calhoun Hospital. Dawson arrived at the hospital on Sunday at about 10:30 p.m. with complaints of intense stomach pains.
