(HOUSTON) — The funeral for the Stay family is scheduled for Wednesday.

Services for Stephen and Katie Stay and four of their children, ages 4 to 14, will be held at a Mormon chapel in Houston.

Ronald Haskell remains jailed without bond, charged with capital murder.

NEWS 92 FM’s Ross Holland reports:

Meanwhile, customers lined up all across Houston for chicken Tuesday and a chance to pay their respects to a very brave local girl.

Houston area Chick-Fil-A restaurants gave 20 percent of their purchases to a fund for Cassidy Stay. She is the 15-year old who survived the deadly shooting that killed her parents and four siblings in Spring last week, allegedly at the hands of her uncle.

Nancy Nichols with Chick-Fil-A told our news partner, KHOU 11, that she was impressed by the turnout.

“I just can’t believe word of mouth can generate this much support and love for this girl,” Nichols said.

In addition to today’s proceeds, an online account has raised more than $330,000 for Cassidy.
