Back in the day I, caught up with one of the ‘Kings Of Southern Soul,’ Willie Clayton while he was performing in Houston, at the International Ballroom back then it was on S. Main. He was in town for the Dee-Jays Award and Blues Show. I’ve known Willie Clayton since I was a Jock in Chicago, during the late 70’s, he’s known for his Chicago Blues and Southern Soul Blues style, a gifted songwriter, he has recorded over 25 albums since the 1980’s. Performing since the late 1960’s, from the 1980’s onwards his chart successes span decades.
