*Four years after his death, Gerald Levert is still topping charts, some like Dr. Cornel West, say he’ll never die because his music lives on.
The singer transitioned at the age of 40 in November 2006 from an accidental fatal mix of prescription drugs. This year his music entered into the Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart at No. 12 and the Billboard 200 at No. 62 with his first career-spanning compilation.
