An LA Times blog is reporting that things are a still a little touchy between Tyler Perry and his business associates at Time Warner in the wake of a recent episode on “The Boondocks” that parodied the man whose alter ego is a dress wearing, gun totin’ woman named Madea.
Simply put, Perry is pissed.
The episode in question – “Pause” – (scroll down to watch) – which aired on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim programming block, on June 20 – went hard on Perry with the lampooning. The show, which is executive produced by Aaron McGruder, who also created the now-defunct comic strip of the same name, featured a thinly veiled version of Perry named Winston Jerome. In the episode, Jerome is shown to be a closeted cross-dresser who uses religion to hide his lifestyle.
