A METRO bus has been involved in an accident in southwest Houston. At around 8am, police were called to investigate an accident involving a METRO bus and another vehicle on the feeder road of the  Southwest Freeway near Hillcroft. The are reports that at least two people have been injured.

Minimal damage is visible on the bus. According to Raquael Roberts with METRO, the bus was empty at the time — no passengers, and the driver was on break. A car came off the main lanes of the freeway, and the driver was apparently suffering a medical emergency, and the vehicle glanced off the bus. The bus suffered only minor damage. The driver suffered serious bodily injury.

The northbound feeder lanes have been completely shut down. Although there is no blockage on the main lanes, traffic is heavily backed up in the area.
