After a lot of internet speculation, BV Buzz has learned exclusively that ‘The View’ co-host Sherri Shepherd has officially been named the new host of Game Show Network’s ‘The Newlywed Game.’

“I am beyond thrilled,” the Emmy-winning TV talent told BV Buzz. “‘The Newlywed Game’ is one of my favorite game shows and I have loved it since Bob Eubanks was the host.”

The 43-year-old comedienne takes over the reigns as host when the re-launched version of ‘The Newlywed Game’ returns for its fourth season this November.

“I’m greatly honored that they thought my sense of humor would go well with the show. I can’t wait to interact with the couples and just have a good time,” she shared.

Singer and TV host Carnie Wilson hosted the first three seasons of ‘The Newlywed Game,’ however the network fired her earlier this year.

Shepherd, who recently wrapped production on a starring role in the film ‘One for the Money,’ begins taping the new season of ‘The Newlywed Game’ in New York City in September.

‘The Newlywed Game’ will premiere on Monday, Nov. 1 at 6:00pm EST.

“I expect to have a lot of fun on the show,” she closed.
