It’s not really a big movie weekend, unless you’re a fan of the “Planet of the Apes” franchise. The original film, starring Charlton Heston, came out 40 years ago. This time, it’s “Rise of the Planet of the Apes,” in which a group of American scientists decide they want to use genetic experimentation to create a race of more intelligent apes. By now, you’d think scientists would realize that messing around with genetics never ends well: Frankenstein, “The Fly,” Octomom. You see where I’m going with this?
