Actress Kim Fields brought a few friends together to celebrate the holidays, and she’s sharing that holiday spirit again this year on her TV One special, “Holiday Love.” It will air on Christmas Day at 8 a.m. EST.

Fields has enjoyed a long career in television, along with her talented family. (Her mother, veteran actress Chip Fields, is best knowen as Janet Jackson’s abusive mother on “Good Times,” and her sister, Alexis, starred on “Sister, Sister” and “Roc.”) For her special, which was taped and originally aired in 2010, she brought together many of the friends she’s made over her three-decade career to do an updated spin on the classic variety shows she grew up on.

“I’m humbled by the vision that God gave me for ‘Holiday Love.’ I am excited to create a

family holiday television special filled with faith, music, love, laughs and heart. ‘Holiday

Love’ will capture everyone’s spirit and is sure to become a staple in holiday entertainment for years to come,” Fields says.

Gerald Albright, Yolanda Adams, Tye Tribbert, Smokie Norful, Kenny Lattimore, Donna Richardson Joyner, Wess Morgan and others join Fields for the special, which was taped in a mansion in the ritzy Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta. The two-hour show will include singing, interviews and other special holiday segments.

Fields has expanded her acting career to sit in the producer’s and director’s chairs for “House of Payne” and “Meet the Browns.” She’s also set to host a new GMC (formerly Gospel Music Channel) special, “Cross to Bear,” which airs in February, and will appear in “What To Expect When You’re Expecting” with Jennifer Lopez, due for release next spring.
