According to published reports, a single-engine plane crashed in some trees on the northwest corner of Pearland Regional Airport on Sunday. The accident reportedly happened just before 4:00 p.m. south of Dixie Farm Rd. near County Road 127.
Additional reports indicate that the 55-year-old pilot suffered head injuries. Life Flight was called to the scene and the pilot was taken to an area hospital in unknown condition.
At the time of this report, authorities did not confirm if he was the only person on board or what may have caused the crash. The plane crash is under investigation by the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Department of Public Safety.
