It’s becoming rare that we don’t hear about the sudden death of a student athlete and now we are also hearing about the dangers of concussions. With that in mind, there is an opportunity that will soon allow for Houston area kids who need to get physicals to participate in sports to receive additional information about concussions.
The Methodist Hospital’s Dr. David Linter is the medical director for the event set for May 19, 2012 at Reliant Stadium where students can get a complete UIL pre extra curricular activity physical. Dr. Linter says that parents and students will learn about the need to take the danger of concussions very seriously:
