Investigators believe that a man that was recently indicted by a San Augustine grand jury, accused of stealing air-conditioning units from churches, is headed to Houston. Roger Dale Parker Jr. was able to bond out of jail there before officials realized he was on parole. Investigators thought they had Parker cornered, but he broke a window and eluded officers and bloodhounds in a wooded area for about 17 hours. He then reportedly stole a pickup truck and got away.

Detectives believe that Parker is headed to the Houston area. He reportedly broke into a house in Broaddus, Texas and stole a purse and some blond hair dye. Authorities believe that Parker is headed toward Harris County, where his parents live. Additional reports indicate that Parker’s mother and father will not help him evade arrest and will turn their son in, should they see him. Parker who has been in and out of jail since the age of 19, has previous charges that include aggravated robbery, auto theft, assault and assault of a public servant.
