A 63-year-old Woodlands man was working under his Volkswagen in his garage on South Doe Run in the Woodlands Tuesday evening. When his wife arrived home just after 7 p.m., she discovered him under the vehicle with the vehicle on top of him. The Woodlands Fire Department and MCHD responded to the scene but the man was already deceased. His name has not yet been released
Justice of the Peace Edie Connelly responded to the scene. Montgomery County Forensic Center will conduct an autopsy.
According to Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department Detective Haas, it appeared the victim was working on his vehicle when the jack slipped. He would not speculate on how long he had been under the vehicle.
