UPDATE: On Monday, officials said the boy was found safe and then released to his mother
INITIAL STORY: Police are searching for a missing 10-year-old boy.
Brandon Bell was last seen around 8 a.m. Sunday on the 4300 block of W. Airport. He wore a black t-shirt, black basketball shorts and tennis shoes.
Brandon was last seen by his mother, according to the Houston Police Department.
Police said the boy left home earlier that morning and when his mother saw him, he left, jumped over a fence at a vacant home and she has not seen him since.
Police say foul play is not suspected.
Brandon is approximately 4 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 75 pounds. He has scars on his back and arms. He was carrying a backpack
