Meteorologists continue to monitor a low pressure near the Yucatan which is expected to become “Debby” this weekend.

It has a 50 percent chance of developing into a tropical depression within 48 hours by the National Hurricane Center, as it moves into the central Gulf of Mexico. According to some experts, there is nothing to impede the progress of what would officially be deemed Tropical Storm Debby.
