Mike Epps plays a pivotal role in the remake of the movie “Sparkle” due out this Friday. He plays Satin Struthers, a gangster in the original film. However, the remake starring Jordan Sparks and Whitney Houston, Satin is a comedian.
Even though Epps plays a comical gangster, Epps once again plays a dramatic role as he did in “Jumping The Broom.” Satin is embittered by his lack of respect in his own community and is a catalyst of the downfall of the girl group.
