The Cypress Falls High School Theater Department needs the help of Majic 102.1 listeners!

The school has been selected to compete in NBC’s ‘SMASH’ Make a Musical program, which seeks to build self-sustaining musical theater programs in under-served schools across the nation. The top five schools will receive a $3,000 gift card from Lowe’s to help improve their program’s performance space.

Cy-Falls is the only Houston school represented in the competition, theater teacher Cory Kelley tells Majic 102.1. Voting ends April 10.

“We’ve lost momentum over the last few weeks, thus we’ve fallen from being in the No. 5 spot to 7th place,” Kelley said. “We need people to vote every day until April 10th on their smart phones, at home, at work, and anywhere they have access to an IP address that hasn’t been voted on.”

Again, you can vote every day with just a click! Let’s help bolster our local theater kids.
