People got to enjoy a Sunday concert at Discovery Green while they helped raise money for the firefighters injured in the Southwest Houston motel fire. The group called “Firefighters helping Firefighters” put on the day-long event called “Concert Four Heroes.”
Montgomery County firefighters are also raising money for the injured Houston Firefighters. Ten teams of the county’s firefighters competed in the “Battling for our Brothers” Softball Tournament over the weekend. It was organized by Ashley Romagus, who husband is captain of the North Montgomery County Fire Department.
The money from the tournament will go to h-f-d captain William Dowling as well as firefighters Robert Yarbrough and Tom Livesay.
