Details are coming out as to why that train wrecked on a curve this past weekend.  According to Pulse of Radio,

National Transportation Safety Board investigator said Monday (December 2nd) that a Metro-North commuter train that derailed in the Bronx early Sunday as it was headed into Manhattan was going 82 miles per hour as it entered the curve where it went off the rails, nearly triple the 30 mph speed limit for the sharp bend. The information was obtained from the train’s two data recorders. Still to be determined, however, is why the train was going so fast and whether the crash, in which four passengers were killed, was caused by human error or problems with the brakes. Part of the probe includes examining engineer William Rockefeller’s cellphone to see if he was using it and distracted while operating the train.

We pray for the victims of this horrific tragedy and hope that justice is served.
