It seems as though online shopping is becoming more and more popular.  According to the New York Times,

After disappointing sales over the Thanksgiving-Black Friday weekend, Americans were going online and buying on Cyber Monday yesterday (December 2nd) to take advantage of special deals for the day. IBM Corp. said in a statement that as of 9 p.m. ET, online sales had risen 19 percent from 2012, with shoppers using smartphones and tablets accounting for 30 percent of the record-setting sales. The National Retail Federation said that online sales this holiday season are projected to increase as much as 15 percent, more than three times faster than total retail growth of 3.9 percent. Online sales make up about 10 percent of total holiday spending.

There were some unbelievable deals offered yesterday for Cyber Monday.
