(COLLEGE STATION, TX) Billboards in College Station protesting alcohol research on pregnant sheep are aimed at getting you mad.

That’s from the Physicians Committee for Responsible Health, which is hoping to end the research at Texas A&MDr. John Pippin with the group says the research is cruel.

The National Institutes of Health funds the study.  It tells us the research first examined whether alcohol decreased one certain amino acid in developing lambs’ brains.

The second part of the study looks to see if giving the pregnant sheep that amino acid prevents Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.

Texas A&M has not yet responded to requests for comment.
