Police say a driver lost control and smashed into several cars at a used car lot
(SOUTH HOUSTON, TX) — About a half a dozen vehicles at a South Houston used car lot are damaged thanks to an out-of-control driver.
The driver of a pickup truck lost control around 1:30 a.m. Thursday along Spencer Highway at 5th Street.
He was allegedly speeding when he skidded off the roadway, slamming into several cars at JMS Auto Sales before crashing into a utility pole and knocking it down.

Witness Sonya Scarborough said the crash was loud.
“And it vibrated my windows when they did that,” she said.
The driver ran off, but City of South Houston police later arrested him.
He was hospitalized with a broken rib, and charges are pending.
