(SPRING, TX) — A mother in Spring is steaming mad after she says a school bus driver dropped off her son at an unfamiliar stop, and she couldn’t find him for hours.

When Sara Rosales couldn’t find her son, she was devastated.

“I’m thinking the worst, of course, when your son is not getting here,” she said. “They tell you he’s going to be here at a certain location at a certain time and he’s not, and they’re laughing.”

Rosales said she was waiting where 11-year-old Nathan Jimenez was supposed to be dropped off, but the bus drove by.

For the next two hours, she said she and her husband called the school and district transportation. That’s when she was shrugged off, she said.

“I asked them what bus location he was dropped off at, and they said they couldn’t tell me because there’s too many kids on the bus for them to tell when they get dropped off, and they can get lost at whatever location they want to get off,” Rosales said.

The school district has a different version of events.

“School administration and Spring ISD police and transportation department all joined in searching for the student,” district spokesperson Karen Garrison said.

Rosales said Nathan didn’t know how to get home. She found him after he went to a friend’s house.
