Marketing and promotions for ABC’s new show Black-ish has been months in the making. Well, the wait is over. The show premieres tonight and there is much anticipation due to the fact that the show stars Anthony Anderson (Law & Order), Laurence Fishburne, (The Matrix) and Tracee Ellis Ross (Girlfriends).
Alongside Modern Family, Black-ish offers even more diversity for ABC. Just as the well-to-do Huxtables lived in an affluent neighborhood in Brooklyn, Black-ish is about an African American family struggling to establish a sense of cultural identity living in suburban Los Angeles. Anthony portrays Andre Johnson, the very comical but determined father of 4 with a loving and successful wife, played by Ross. Laurence Fishburne plays Andre’s father. Click here to read more.
