As the dust settles after the disastrous premiere of Lifetime’s unauthorized biopic of Aaliyah: Princess of R&B, there are a few positives to be taken away despite the harsh criticism it received. One of the movie’s executive producer’s, Wendy Williams, who got most of the backlash, did point out that the movie received the 2nd highest ratings of cable movies for 2014.
