sorority-sistersEvery so often, a show so awful comes along that it stirs #BlackTwitter’s feathers and we are made witness to a vicious social media dragging. VH1’s latest production “Sorority Sisters,” one of the more abominable projects that hit the boob tube this year, became the mockery of the Internet last night upon it’s premiere.

Anchored by “Love & Hip Hop” season five, “Sorority Sisters” crept up on us like a bad cold and we don’t want it.

Not only does the new show perpetuate EVERY stereotype associated with the Greek life (we found it particularly annoying to watch April, a proud AKA, prance around with her doggie, doling out orders around her unfinished Boutique) — post college years — it has nothing to do with what being in a sorority of fraternity is all about. Ya know, the community service, sister/brotherhood and all that unity stuff they boasted on college campuses. Instead, “Sorority Sisters” explores boutique wars and shows grown ass women, well into their 30s, practicing their stroll and bickering over fake Deltas. And how about Prinyanka’s burlesque dancing gig? Shall we even talk about the token White Delta? Nah.

If you can’t tell how much we HATED “Sorority Sisters,” allow #BlackTwitter to provide a better understanding:

And those are the nice ones!

We’re very surprised “Sorority Sisters” even made it on air after thousands of Greeks signed a petition to have it banned from TV.

Watch the extended “Sorority Sisters” trailer and let us know if you’ll be tuning in on Monday’s after “LHH.”
