The interception heard around the world was made Sunday night by New England Patriot’s rookie Malcolm Butler, but just a few years ago, this undrafted rookie was working at a Popeyes restaurant in Mississippi. Butler was a stand out Division II player at West Alabama, but the odds were against him to be drafted into the NFL. The Patriots, however made room for him on the team which proved to be a wise decision. While everyone has been criticizing why the Seahawks called a pass play at the goal line with downs to give and time on the clock, credit must be given to the hard working Butler who was in the right place at the right time to intercept a Russell Wilson pass to seal the victory for the Patriots.
